Meet the leaders driving Stanton Strong — a committee of founders, advocates, educators, and healthcare professionals united behind one mission: protecting reproductive freedom for all.
StantonStrong was founded in 2016 on a simple belief: that everyone deserves the right to make their own healthcare decisions. What started as a grassroots effort has grown into a nationwide advocacy movement.
Jill Gordon Besnoy • Noelle Tutunjian
Co-Founders — 2017
A leader across entertainment, entrepreneurship, and social impact, Jill produced film and TV for studios including HBO, Warner Bros., and Disney before founding Honestbaby Inc., acquired by The Honest Company in 2014. In 2016 she founded Stanton Strong to advocate for women’s reproductive rights and empower women nationwide.
A political social worker with deep experience in welfare policy and campaign strategy, Noelle has recruited and trained women to run for office and taught political social work at Hunter College for a decade. She has spent the past decade-plus as a community leader and activist on hunger, the environment, and reproductive rights.
A lifelong advocate for education, equity, and reproductive health, Julie began in advertising before becoming an elementary school teacher. She currently serves on the Demarest Board of Education, bringing deep experience in community engagement and the power of education to our mission.
A physician specializing in critical care, palliative medicine, and bioethics, Nisha pairs patient-centered care with public health advocacy. She serves as president of her town’s Board of Health, working at the intersection of medicine, ethics, and reproductive healthcare policy.
A trained social worker with extensive experience in child welfare and family dynamics, Heather creates safe, nurturing spaces for youth to thrive. A passionate activist, she advocates for women’s reproductive rights and equitable healthcare access through community-driven change.
Our committee is powered by people who refuse to stay on the sidelines. Whether you volunteer, donate, or join us, there’s a place for you in this movement.
