2019 – Surge in Abortion Bans
- In 2019, 28 state legislatures proposed abortion bans
- 6 week bans (Fetal Heartbeat bills) have passed in Iowa, Ohio, Kentucky, Mississippi & Georgia and in one legislative chamber in Tennessee.
- 8 week ban passed in Missouri
- Complete ban passed in Alabama
- Nearly 20 states have outright banned abortion after 20 weeks
